Friday again!

It was a case of "almost but not quite" for me this week in the main quiz, with a score of SIX out of seven. (Annoyingly, I'd read the story for the one that I got wrong but I couldn't remember the answer).

I could only manage a 'middling' THREE out of five in the junior quiz though:

A decent enough (but still not outstanding) SIX out of ten for me in the sprint event this week:

Plenty of scope for you to beat me then - but will you, I wonder?

More like a rhombus, I reckon, Jourdain2 ;-)

(Well done!)
6/7 v 3/7
3/5 v 3/5
6/10 v 8/10 Best ever score in the Speedy Gonzales round. But you still beat me by 1 over all.
Hope that you and the magic three are all OK and had an interesting week :-)
Question Author
Well done with that fantastic 8, Haras2!

Chequers is currently trying to 'help' me type as I write this. Tablo is, I think, upstairs and waiting for me to go to bed, so that she can sleep on top of me. I'm hoping that Moonbeam is asleep on the floor behind me, next to his food bowls. (He's decided that that location is his current domain but he never bases himself in the same spot for long. At least he's sleeping indoors now). I can't check without shifting Chequers off my knee though - and that's definitely not permitted!

I hope that you and Shady are both well and enjoying life.
3/7 and 4/5. Below average Chris. Must try harder.
Question Author
It could have been a lot worse though, 10CS ;-)
6/7 (stupid Thesaurus)
5/5
6/10
After getting the first three wrong, I got the next four correct: 4/7

That's the one that I'd read but still couldn't get right, Lie-in King!

Well done on
(a) getting some really good scores ;
(b) being a perfect kid this week ; and
(c) beating me, yet again!
Question Author
Well done on that dramatic improvement, GG!
On a rising path this week with a poor 2/7, a middling 3/5, and a fantastic 8/10 - seems I work better under pressure, or perhaps I over-think those with unlimited time for it.
Question Author
"Perhaps", Canary42 - or perhaps you just got lucky with your guesses ;-)

Well done on that fine 8, anyway ;-)
Not guesses Chris, reasoned deductions ;-)
Should have changed my name to Neil this week 'cos i neily got them all correct;

6/7, 4/5 and 8/10
Question Author
You should have been a politician, Canary42 ;-)

Ruddy 'eck, Ken! Not only have you beaten me (which, let's face it, isn't always that difficult anyway) but you've beaten the mighty (and usually unbeatable) Lie-in King too! Well done indeed!
2 or 3 panicky correct guesses as time was rapidly running out in the timed quiz, Chris.
