I saw a headline about a punch-up at a football match, I ignored it as it happens so often. Then I discovered that it wasn't the fans.
It was a slap not a punch.
Society is becoming more feral. These footballers are rich and privileged but that is not synonymous with class or civility these days.
Of course it's ungentlemanly - they're women.
damn savage!
Very unladylike!!

I'd hazard a guess you didn't click on the link, LCG.
A bit like AB at the weekend.
I did click on the link, Ken. Should I have put my glasses on first?
Just handbags at three paces, that's all.

LCG, just how rich do you believe our female footballers are?

I didn't know they were female, Ken. In all honesty when I looked at the puc in the link they didn't look like the fairer sex?

Why are you always so negative towards me? It's nothing new - being going on quite a while now.
Do any male football players wear ponytails?
...I suppose there might be a few

LCG, "Why are you so negative towards me?" Didn't realise i was. I've participated on a few of your treads, most recently your music ones. Picked you up on this one because i thought you'd merely see the headline in the link and assumed it showed male footballers.
Had it been someone else who'd posted what you did, i would have responded exactly the same. I don't have favourites :-)
Right-o, Ken.

I clicked on your link using my phone which has a much smaller screen than my laptop. I only really paid attention to the 3 people in the centre of the picture, all of whom could, in my opinion, be either male or female. As one who never pays attention to women's football, I just assumed it was a Premier League brawl.

Irrespective of the gender of the brawlers I stand by my comment about society becoming more feral.
Ladycg: "Feral" is supposed to mean acting like animals. Animals (other than humans) usually act to find food or to scare off sexual or territorial rivals. Humans are quite happy to fight over more intellectual pursuits - e.g. sadistic pleasure; or political or spiritual dominance.
Just playing catchup with the men in not realising they're in the real world and not ACTUALLY that special.

Hopefully authorities have placed an order for a ton of bricks before this branch of kickball goes down the pan with the rest of it.
just been scrolling down that page

///A man banned from carrying marker pens and wet paints has been jailed after breaching the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order.

Lloyd Griffiths, 22, was found with two Sharpie pens, one tucked in his waistband, and a small amount of cannabis on October 10.

The discoveries were made after he was reported for making inappropriate comments to women at McDonald’s in Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough.///

Good to know life goes on beyond Westminster.
