So I want to be in a relationship with someone, and not even sure where to start. To clarify, I’m not at all concerned with looks or s*x, as I’m asexual, and I’m looking for a mutual relationship with someone who I can grow with and love as a romantic partner. Part of the problem is that I’m not even close to attractive: I have a speech impediment that keeps me from being able to speak loudly or sound certain letters (mostly “r”) clearly and makes my voice sound like crap, I’m extremely skinny, my smile is terrible, acne is killing me, and my skin has far more oil than most people’s making my hair oily… the list goes on. And while it’s great and all that I’m attracted to personality far more than any other thing, I’m afraid the girls are not always like that. Any advice on what to do?

If you are young, you are probably sensitive about your appearance and personality. If you are not interested in looks and sex, then you can be sure that there will be others who feel like you. If you are seeking someone to love, then you can be sure that others will also be seeking someone to love. If you are handsome/beautiful then you might easily find someone who thinks that that is all that matters, but what really matters is finding a person that you really like and that eventually you really love, and that they will love you. Finding a good person is not always easy, but you should not give up hope and you should definitely seek because the planet has millions of people who will feel just like you.
