Liz Truss used to pretend members of her family had died to get out of appearing on Tv question shows.
(When she was Justice secretary. Kirsty Buchanan ,who was special adviser to Truss says the fake deaths included aunts uncles and distant relatives. However TRUSS ran out of excuses and had to appear on BBC Question time and face a man she Loathed. lol.

I noticed when the PM made a press conference after sacking the previous chancellor.
The press were holding up their hands to ask her questions ,but Truss chose not to pick Beth Rigby. She is another one that puts the fears up Truss. Right up her.

I'm not sure I believe that. She didn't need to give reasons to get out of TV appearances. She only had to say she was busy. Sounds to me like people putting the boot in.

Yes, it happens. Ministers often leave things like that to aides as it really only admin.
