//The outgoing prime minister’s replacement is under no obligation to call a general election, but they might decide to - or have one forced on them.//
Cheers me old china.
We’ll see how it all looks after the new PM ballot, the Halloween mini-budget(containing further cuts to public services and Austerity 2.0), the harsh winter and cost of living crisis, impending strikes and industrial action by rail, health, telecoms and postal workers, hugely increased mortgage payments and power cuts.
I’m sure the electorate will be comforted knowing that the bankers will undoubtedly still get their bonuses and the oil/energy companies will keep their eye-watering billions in profit.
The next PM of a clearly failing, inept and hugely unpopular government who showed where their priorities lay 4 weeks ago has got some job on his/her hands.
