Had an appointment earlier today - haven't been back since 2017. audiologist says nothing has changed with your hearing - just an empty vessel there. I'm only kidding about the empty vessel.

anyway she said you are due for a new hearing aid - I said I'm not fussed about changes - she said these are fantastic so am getting a new one in the New Year - I could have got one sooner but I wanted to get back to this lady originally from Crewe, England she also said

I won't be back here as I am going on holiday to Costa Rica and it would be the New Year.

So I said that'll do me lovely. And I will be able to hold onto my old one too. She did say I would like you to wear two hearing aids but I said no. Couldn't start to get used to two after all these years.

So two good things for me today. Updated hearing aid and my winter fuel allowance.

Do wonder what the next thing is - Everything comes in 3s. But I am happy with my two.

Good for you! Audiology is extinct around here I fear. They never even answer the phone, just an answerphone and you leave messages and nothing happens.

I meant to add that our local hospital audiology department has a long waiting list but are first class once you get in.

I had my lugs hoovered last week and am well pleased.
