Iv Tramadol Nhs

Hi there
Any nurses currently with nhs. IV Tramadol can be given over 2 to 3 minutes....but do you give it neat or mix with water for injections or sodium chloride 0.9% supposing it was between 50 and 100mg

I am not a nurse, so take my advice with that in mind.
It doesn't matter how you give it..neat....with water..or with sodium chloride solution, but administer it slowly.

Sqad is a doctor and is groping ( hur hur hur)
towards prescription, dispensing and administration
( on which I gave evidence to the House of COmmons actually)

Doctors prescribe
Chemists dispense
and nurses administer (when you can find one hur hur hur)

different words for different actions
..... some doctors administer....

so---- if is IN something else does it matter ? That is called formulation and refer to my fantastic post about Paul Turner and digoxin - that er no one read - yes it might

raw - the formulation is 'sodium free'but does in become unstable in sodium solution - no it doesnt seem to.

apparently they say ( I thought it might divert down a different path) that 25% Africans have a silent gene - Tr doesnt work

would mean that Tramadol is a pro-drug and need to be converted to an active form.

But doesnt explain why it sends Egyptians into the 5 or 6th heaven when er formulated wiv veeno.

These are very very technical points ( but relevant) and if a passing mod deletes it all on the grounds of obscenity ( "CYP2D6 metabolism" DOES look like an ad for penis enlargement) I wont even exclaim in a suitably gormless tone: what the funicular!
