morning, Saturday and the weekend starts here. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have any plans for today?
I am meeting a friend for coffee which will be nice, then an appointment at Specsavers for an eye test.
today's forecast for the capital is a rather warm 22c with rain showers.
Your appointment at Specsavers is a reminder that I too need my eyes checking. I'm beginning to hold books and newspapers further and further away before reading focus is obtained. So, it's either a eye test or carry a gibbon around with me.
We went to see Jim Davidson last night. Very, very funny man. He takes his chances with the audiences too. One group on the front row were taking ages to get in their seats and JD said to one of the chaps, "I'm not surprised you tried to sneak her in in the dark."
Morning LCG, Looks like eveyone has gone home. I'd make you a cup of tea, but I am right out of Earl Grey at the moment. Only the very best for you madam!
How funny, Zebu, my colleague and I were talking about Earl Grey yesterday (whilst waiting for a Starbucks) and I mentioned that I hadn't had one in ages. All of a sudden I really fancied one.
Earl Grey... haha... I guess we all get a craving from time to time.
Somehow Starbucks and tea just don't seem to go together. Isn't Starbucks the Mecca of the coffee world. You'll be telling me next you only take brown sugar?
I don't take sugar. In the days when I consumed Earl Grey like it was going out of fashion I used to take one sweetener but gave that up a few years ago.
We just have Yorkshire Tea in this house and get our coffee beans from Aldi.
You're a person after my own heart. I will confess that on occasion I do resort to Tetley's. This is only when the supermarket shelves are empty of Yorkshire. Thus I cannot be bothered to go and shop elsewhere.
Well ma-Lady, you'll have to remind me some day to tell you my brown sugar joke. For now though, I shall hug you (((((o))))) and leave you to get on with your day :-)
Hi there emmie, thanks for your good wishes and inquiry of my well being. As my grandfather would have said in his best Doric I am "chavin awa" which means doing OK. Hope you are fit and well yourself.
