It's not a career I would choose - but if women want to do it, that's up to them. The men they're trapped with should learn that a swift and well-aimed kick in the goolies has a propensity to bring tears to the eyes and damage to the nether regions. Yes, I have been on a submarine.

My daughter in law's father was a German U-Boat commander, & he said Das Boot was nonsense.

If anyone has been inside a submarine I guess it was as a tourist & the vessel was at surface level, but you will have seen how incredibly cramped are the conditions in which men have to live, work, sleep, eat, wash & defecate etc. - no place for a mixed sexes.
