Certainly better than power line adaptors. I have TP-link Deco system which covers my house, recording studio, and granny annexe. My internet connection is in the studio. The Deco in the granny annexe connects to it by WiFi. The one in the house is connected via CAT6e ethernet cable. The advantage of a mesh system is that it provides blanket coverage of the selected area with no disconnect/reconnect as you move around. So for example I can be on a video call in the studio and walk to the annexe or house without any glitch as my phone moves from one zone to another. Obviously, any connections involving a WiFi route will not be as fast as a cabled connection.
