if you mean the rash......then 7-10 days.
If you mean the pain , then weeks but if you are unlucky, then maybe years.

I had shingles at the age of 9 and it was gone in a few days.

May one enquire how old the patient is?

Mine lasted 6-7 weeks, the pain was excruciating ,this was about 5 years ago

Yes - like a lot of people, mine lasted for about 6 weeks

I was fortunate in being prescribed antiviral medication the day after the rash appeared (I had suspected I was getting shingles because my skin became very sensitive a few days before so I contacted my surgery as soon as the rash appeared). The meds reduced the severity and duration of the symptoms which were very painful only for a few days. My skin still feels a little sensitive in the affected area 2 months on but it is not painful.

I was 14 when I had shingles. The rash lasted for about 6 weeks but I had the spasmodic nerve pain for years .I must have been one of the unlucky ones

I had the jab but it was just after having shingles,you have to be 70 to get it
