Just got back from a wonderful cruise, but cruising does attract some weird people!
I was in a lift with about ten people, crowded, but not rammed, and a Sikh lady must have trodden on the foot of a male passenger.
He shouted "Owwwwwwww!!!!" at the top of his voice, I mean really yelled it, and the poor woman was in equal parts terrified and embarrassed, you know how diffident Asian ladies can be.
Then he burst into loud laughter and shouted in her face "I bet you're awake now!!" which clearly confused the poor woman, as she obviously didn't understand his 'humour'.
We rode for eight decks in tense silence, and when the lift stopped, he shouted in her face "You'll be glad to know I'm getting off here!!" and he ambled down the corridor, laughing loudly at his own wonderful wit.
I was in a cruise ship a few years back and got talking to a woman who seemed friendly enough. When the lift stopped at my floor I made my apologies and she suddenly started ranting at me: “So you don’t want to talk to me then: ok, be like that!!”
I left hurriedly
Andy/ Canary can probably research experiences which would sut him but, surely, the same cannot be said for the guests? Lord and Lady Dom Perignon are on board, quaffing glass after glass then thoroughly making a nuisance of themselves. As for the whisky imbiber, the Earl of Grouse,,,, nuff said!
