Can Anyone Help Me Identify This Kitchen Pan ?

I have obtained a kitchen pan as part of an auction job lot
I would like to upload photos but can’t so I’ll describe it as I’d like to know what it is used me
It’s in lovely condition
Aluminium or stainless steel - circular x9” in diameter
Has an metal inner removal with holes in it and two handles
Also has a grill type removable tray
It has a deep (7 cms lid)
Any ideas what it is used for as I’d like to find it a good home !

Alu and stainless steel would look very different from each other. SS is polished and shiny and alu is grey and rather matt. I love SS. It does sound like some kind of steamer. But you could use it for anything you like, with or without its metal inner and its 'grill type removable tray'. If I saw it cheap at a car boot I'd prob buy it.
