The radio news mentioned a mystery from France. A Polish worker, while drunk, told his girlfriend and some of his fellow workers that he'd killed a woman cyclist. After knocking her down he drove on to his home to get a shovel to bury her. When he returned he found she was still alive so finished her off with the shovel.
The police have no reports of a missing woman. Do they need a latter day Poirot or should the Polish man take more water with it?
