When will there ever be a breakthrough for this rotten disease that’s robbed so many of their loved ones?

It is very sad. Especially now it’s in his brain. My mum’s cancer got into her brain and changed her personality totally.
I hope his remaining life is peaceful and happy.

Mr Em was the same, he had cancer all over and his reasoning, personality changed completely.

So sorry cloverjo/ Emmie. My mum didn’t have brain cancer - but she died from breast cancer. She was only 59. I was sat with her when she died, and my sister was with me. Worst night on my entire life.

For me, taking mum to the hospice was the worst day. When she died I felt like my dad and I could breathe again.

I just remember the McMillan nurse there the entire time, being so calm, and my sister just screaming and screaming in distress :(

Thanks for sharing your stories , I truly believe discussing them on here shouldn’t be Taboo, cancers tentacles have reached out to all of us beat personally or to a loved one or friend, like JimF, I donate each month to Cancer UK and hope my small donation goes some way to finding a cure.
