It's my annual "what am I going to cook?" Thread.

Got about 40 coming for pre Christmas drinks and nibbles. Then 11 on Boxing day.

I need ideas for nibbles that do not include pastry or cheese (cos I've got loads of pastry and cheese based stuff).
Got mini yorkies and beef; pigs in blankets and cubed belly pork.

Any other finger bites you can suggest, pleas

Do Scotch eggs contain whiskey?
If so, I think I'd like them.
not as far as i know...
***,
Bruschetta with a tomato, herb and balsamic topping.
Tempura prawns, vegetable or duck spring rolls, Indian party selection, selection of dips with crudities.
Have a look in the supermarket freezers for party food, they all have a large selection

These make a nice change from plain cocktail sausages. My top tip is to buy tin foil roasting trays to save on the washing up! (Amazon 10 for £9.79)
07.03 do scotch eggs contain whisky, sorry no, neither does Irish stew!
As someone who is allergic to cheese and can't bear anything spicey or in sauces, please do some plain stuff (not that I am invited) because there is rarely anything I like other than a sausage roll or cocktail sausage - even the crisps are weird and wonderful flavours and the sarnies usually have mayonaisse or other stuff smeared on them. A plain ham or beef sandwich on white bread would go down a treat, or a sliced French stick is much appreciated.
Crackers and pate is also tolerable as long as there is a label to say what it is.
