Adding Rings To A Curtain Pole

I’ve fitted a curtain pole and the curtains are on but I think it needs more rings. I thought it would be simple enough to remove the ball at the end, lift up and add the rings but - clearly I was wrong
Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Is the pole fixed to the holding brackets with tiny, easily lost, screws underneath? If you remove these then it can be slid out of the holding backet to let more rings be added, may need to deal with the middle bracket too if it's long.

Yes it's usually held on the pole by tiny screws

Possibly a little Allen key needed. The whole pole needs to be taken down to a add the extra rings, and you will need to decide how many rings are to be outside the fixing brackets.
