I have just started this puzzle.
The very first two I solved give me a clash.
There is no mention of clashes in preamble.
My answers to 37a and 32d are correct, I believe. The intersection gives me a clash.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

The parts of answers that clash are thematic words in their own right - change them for a different set of synonyms.
32d is a straight answer, 37a changes 4 letters.

Let me solve more and then I may be back.
Hankir, it isn't the last four in 37 A that change...
