My Wife's Painful Bladder

She has been suffering for some months and was prescribed Solifenican by her GP. She saw a consultant about a month ago who prescribed Mirabegron to be taken with the Solifenican.
She had a CT scan last week and is waiting for the results.
She now has to strain, use her muscles, to empty her bladder, the flow isn't coming easily. She is used to using those muscles only to stop the flow.
Could the medication be causing this? She is not getting any relief from the pain and discomfort but these drugs are supposed to help with the urgency and frequency, not the pain.

As you know barry, I am not a Urologist.
The situation seems to have gone from one extreme to the other.......difficulty in controlling peeing to difficulty in initiating peeing.
I feel, that it is a distinct possibility that the continueation of Mirabegron and Solifenican could well be the cause.
My main concern is the scan result of which I thought that we had received, indication the prescence of a mass.
My advice would be to continue the medication for a couple of days and if there is no improvement then to either comtact your GP or the Urologist's secretary at the hospital. But do give it another couple of days.

Sqad, my wife never had trouble peeing, just pain and discomfort in the bladder exacerbated by a full bladder and a need to pee a lot more than usual with a need to go 'now'.
She hasn't had the cystitis burn when peeing.
She saw her GP in June and he prescribed the Solifenican and sent her for an ultra sound scan. From there he referred her to the consultant who said the scan showed a 'fullness' in the left hand side and sent her for the CT scan. If that doesn't show the cause he will have a look inside her bladder with a camera.
