Sister and I were trying to remember yesterday but no it wouldn't come to us (Senior Moments)

It was roughly about two fellas - one was from a very poor family and other lad was Royal- somewhere in the Middle East.

They grew up wonderful friends but (I don't remember this) sister said royal lad raped the other lad but many years later when they met up in a war like situation - the poor lad had the right to kill the royal lad but couldn't do it.

Anybody know the name - please and thank you.

had a wiki of that Dr but don't think it was that - it was movie and from what I can vaguely remember they were involved in flying kites - that was important
