The whole game of pro football has become a production. nicebloke and I agree on some of the hair styling! It is an entirely different thing to be well-groomed. I would swear that players have been dramatically trained - hand gestures and facial expressions - and taught to roll in "agony". Anyone remember Bert Trautmann doing that? As for referees, well, best ever was Jack Taylor- no nonsense and all the players knew not to wind him up. Some respect then.
