Good morning Lcg and all, off out in the freezing cold to the village to meet a friend for hot chocolate and marshmallows only for a couple of hours as the Sky looks pretty full of the white stuff this morning, we had quite a bit yesterday which has fallen on rock hard ice so it could be bad walking out there

Good morning all. It's absolutely freezing here (-9 yesterday first thing) but so pretty with frost outlining trees and hedgerows. I hope Emmie's op goes well today and that she is able begin a good recovery.

As a couple of presents have been held up in the postal delays I am going out to pick up some catnip to make my own catnip mice. I can't however get my sister's Mon Check so just have to hope they get to me by 22nd. Apart from that I pretty much have everything in for Christmas apart from bread and a bit of fruit... Oh and dessert... I might just get some clotted cream and have some berries though, I leave the Christmas pudding til boxing day which is always gammon, and bubble and squeak

They do, Bobbi. I was weighed down with cards and presents for Teachers and fellow classmates this morning.

Morning Margo - freezing here too. Our Qooker boiling water tap wasn't working this morning. There was no boiling water or cold water but the hot water was working fine. Hot and cold water were coming through perfectly fine in the utility and the bathoom. I hope to God we don't have a frozen pipe. It shouldn't freeze because the pipes are in a well insulated area and it's a very warm room anyway, but I can't think of any other explanation. I called OH from the car and asked him to give the heating a good blast.
