The Taliban Pushing The Country They Rule Back To The Dark Ages.
If they deny girls and young women an education they're denying them fulfillment in their lives and denying Afghanistan the unrealised talent of half the population.
Isn't it a dreadful regime?

there is a bit on the Been by the Gels Brigade. Having booted out the Americans and the Brits ( with deaths) alot of us shrug and dont care.
The Taliban 're-occupied' Afghanistan by walking back in and saying "it is ours" and there is not a squeal of dissent. 7 days - that is all it took. They have done it to themselves.
Pakistan has done it as well ( no girls in education) - after repeated badgering ( by me n or) the Beeb have stopped saying "it is in the Quran" - it isnt
I repeatedly invite the Been Fluffies to conclude on air that therefore there must be something of equal weight to the Quran ( word of God) but outside it. They have all said basically they like having two hands.

quote, extremist male chauvinism. Islam has the strongest element of this in the world. It means an inherent belief that males are superior to females, and females’ role in life is to serve males. This is what really backwards cultures like Saudi Arabs and their brothers the Taliban, Al Qaeda, ISIS, etc. believe in. They are all Islamists, so it’s in their religion. plus keep people dumb and they will think this is in the koran..so it must be correct the correct way to treat women, what can the civilised world do erm.. nothing, we tried, sad but true.
