Stay with us Prudie. I took a break for various reasons but came back because I found myself bedbound and bored after illness. Nice to see you back. But to be honest I don't really notice when people go missing. There are a couple that I wish would go missing though!

I'd rather have one Prudie talking sense than 100 Gullivers talking guff. It's not the diminished number of posts that's adversely affecting AB but the diminished number of good quality posts - and yes I include "What's for Dinner" in that remark as it is very useful to others. The constant anti-Tory rhetoric isn't.

ive no problem with anti tory retoric as i'm a (moderate) Labour supporter but I can sometimes (tho not often!!) agree the Con goverment is right on somethings just as I can disagree with some of Labours policies like excessive nationalising or overtaxing or criticisng asylum policys.... I just wish people would see more balance and not resort to PMSLs/'losers' comments at any bit of bad news. And some like the one who keeps deactivating and come back as someone else are too aggressive, rude, arrogant, spoiling for a fight.
And as for the Palace Racism thread , yes some posts use 500 words including first repeating 300 of someone elses post, when 30 words would do.....its hardly going to encourage reasonable new people to stick around or pesuade reasonable posters to contribute

Prudie. As you see your absence was very much noticed. Both Dave and I did as did the few members I'm in contact with off AB.
There was a should we post a "hope Prudie okay" discussion but we figured there is one person on AB who would let us know if you weren't and we guessed your reason.

There are a few taking a break or leaving because of the mindless bickering with nothing to do with the original OP. Sadly they are the interesting posters and if more follow we will be left with the dross.

The racism thread did a lot of damage. It was an exchange of fire from fixed positions in an attempt to boost a couple of egos. Shocking.

God knows how Gulliver is still here unless for some reason the site owners have a death wish.

Reading Trudie's very rude post @ 10.58, it proves there are no ladies on A.B , as some females on here describe themselves If I had have had used that sort of filthy language on here the post would have been deleted before I could hit the answer key.

Looks like gulliver has friends in high places on this site.On any other sites he would have been banned years ago.But this is AB,i suppose.Not what is was like a few years ago.I am a wee bit angry how this once nice site has degenerated.
