Has anybody heard that Pomegrante Juice is being hailed as the new alternative to Cranberry Juice. If so what are the benefits

Hi gwenfronthom, I love pomegranate juice, but I really recommend that you don't buy the juice drinks, beware of them as the ingredients seems to be sugar, lots of it and water, and maybe a pomegranate was waved in front of it ;-) I either buy the pure one in the chiller cabinet at the supermarket, that's made from concentrate but it is 100% juice or I buy the long life pure juices, ie: del monte. They do seem to be a better bet.... bit sharp mind you.....

I tried the one from sainsburys and I thought it was disgusting Ill be sticking to cranberry juice from now on

Grenadine is a pomegranite syrup, not every one realises that but it is very useful in cooking.
