help...online bloke...what shall I do now ??

Hiya all, I'm in need of a bit of the legendary AB wisdom here ! There goes...I've been "talking" to this guy through a messages option on an online forum ( namely, faceparty, for those who know it ) for about 3 months now. We get on REALLY well online, and he makes me laugh a lot. Now yesterday, he gave me his mobile number ( at last ! ) and we texted throughout the evening and ever since his "good morning" text today. As I was finishing work, he asked if I wanted to go for a drink tonight. I panicked ( i mean, proper butterflies in my tummy there ), and told him I was broke, and besides, I was ******** myself at the thought.... I suggested this week end instead. And now, that's the thing : not a word since. He hasn't texted back at all. I tried again, asking if he was giving me the cold shoulder, and that I was now sitting in the pub anyway. Not a peep.
Now, guys, what does this mean ?!?!? I really can't believe he would ditch me because i said no to his offer for tonight ! He's not the type...Did he get upset because I said no when he'd finally ( sort of ) plucked up the courage to ask me out ?? Or did he just drop his phone in the toilet , that's why he's not replying, and I shouldn't make an issue of it ? lol
So now what ???? Do I keep texting, do I call him ( never even heard his voice ! ), or do I wait and see ? It's the first time I've been close to meeting someone online, and I REALLy like this guy. Help please !!! Sorry for the long post...Max. XXX

Wow, max, it's great that you got on so well! Well done you!

I wouldn't worry about him busy this weekend, what with it being so close. He probably made plans in case it didn't go well with you (you might have turned out to be a nutter! lol).
