It's just a shame that many of the biggest struggles seem to be when we are young. Work is harder when we are building a career, or developing a business, we are busiest with families if we are lucky enough to have them, we have so much less time thank heaven's for online shopping. So everything has to be squeezed into the week end when all we really want to do is rest and recover.
And then you get to an age when you can ease off the throttle a bit....
And now children need a help On the property ladder, or through uni, or with childcare, so you think it will be great when you can retire, by then your parents may need care, but you are of an age where in years gone by you would be the one being helped... But what you do have is greater resilience, you can say no sometimes and hopefully at least finances are less of a struggle, that workplace pension you resented paying for gives you more options than your friends and just maybe your health has held out...
Summarised as life is rubbish enjoy the good bits,
