I think dates in January have yet to be announced. If you need to post definitely post as early as you can. I suspect it will take some time to return to normal after Christmas strikes.

I think even if they're not striking it will take ages to clear the backlog. I got a Christmas card on the 22nd which took 17 days to reach me from a village 2 miles away.
My Private Eye eventually arrived last week, 9 days late.
Thank you for your replies. I didn't get my tablets on time in December because my prescription that I post to the surgery never arrived. It took a lot of hassle to sort it out! I'll take it round next month rather than risk posting it again.
yes 2 weeks was quite common before chrismas and we know some cards we sent 2 weeks before chrismas haven't arrived yet The Royal Mail said they were trying to prioritise things like hospital letters... not sure how they know - but I guess they deprioritised cards.
Next year the unions and management will find Christmas card numbers drop dramatically and volume's generally will fall so modernisation/job losses will be on the agenda again so strikes will be on the cards (no pun intended ) again next year
