One of our patrons attached a message to their donation, asking us what we're doing with their money.
I'd like to start off by saying that we're extremely grateful for the donations that we do receive.
As you can see from the AnswerBank Donations page, we're being transparent about the funds being raised to contribute towards improvements to the Answerbank. We don't currently raise much money each month. We started off well; in August and September, we raised £218.54 however, in October, November and December combined we raised £47.23.
When the site came under new ownership in January, The AnswerBank's resources also grew; we do have internal developers who have been looking into The AnswerBank and have been working on it in the background, reviewing the site structure and code. We have an initial roadmap of improvements we'd like to make but in order to invest further in the platform we do need the community to support; donations seemed like the fairest way of obtaining that support.
We don't want to make any false promises, so we're not going to promise anything right now. Despite this, we are hopeful that you will see some new features added to The AnswerBank in the upcoming months which we hope you'll be happy with and will mean you'll continue to support the work we're doing to keep Answerbank moving forward.
