Is praying online just another way for people talk about their problems but to a bigger audience?
There are so many prayer sight out e.g http://theopenprayer.com/ where people post prayers for losing weight...for finding a new job...for sick people...about their own depression...why not go see a therapist or join weight watchers?

I think if you believe that prayer can help you then it's just a way for you to ask for more people to remember you in their prayers. It's kind of nice actually.
The Romans would carve their prayers on a tablet and throw them into a river or spring.

I guess typing them into a web site is the 21st Century equivilent.

Maybe 2000 years from now archeologists will be carefully analysing ancient hard drives to see what was on the web in 2007 and will come across Betty praying for her bunions to heal and will be delighted and run off to write up a paper.
