How do you get vacuum cleaner attachments to stay in.?I have a vac. with a couple of attach. but as soon as you try to clean up the attach drop off.Any ideas how to keep then on a semi-permanent way? Thanks!
It might be that the clip that's holding it in place is damaged.
We've got a Shark and ours has broken twice now. It took me a while to figure out that the little plastic piece that holds it in place had snapped off. The first time it happened we bought a replacement pipe, but the second time I managed to suss out how to repair it by fixing a screw into the pipe :)
I did answer earlier but it must have got lost "in the post"But thank you all for your replies,I went for nero's answer in the end.It seemed the easiest way to overcome my problem.
in my vacuum cleaner, the plastic tubes fit together by friction - one sticks one tube into another, and they stay put. But sometimes they don't. I just push them back together more forcefully and take it easy on how I shove the nozzle up and down the carpet. If I really couldn't cope, I'd try some tough tape round the male tube to make it fit more solidly into the female (this is all plumbers' talk!). Good luck.
