I had an Amex card but found I couldn't use it in many places - and a few years back they were charging about £12 a year for it. Watch the charges - MBNA is a high interest card if you don't have special deals. it seems very odd to send you another card - I'm not aware of any link between MBNA and Amex. How can it be linked to the same account? - I don't understand that part.
Is it one of these? http://www.mbna.co.uk...edit-cards/index.html I had no idea that MBNA were involved with so many other organisations. Their APR is pretty stiff on most of the cards - I'm not using mine these days, it's very expensive, other cards' APR is less.
interest rates dont bother me as i always pay in full each month so doesnt matter if its high , there is no mention of an annuel fee and yea mbna must have something to do with amex and deffo all linked together it says i will only get one statement for both cards so it seems it just means i may not find all the shops take amex by sound of your answers i will make a phone call to mbna before i activate it tho thanks for replys
have phoned mbna amex has teamed up with visa and theres no charges for either of the cards they sent me with the amex one i get 2 points for every £1 i spend witht the ordinary visa i get 1 point every £1 i spend so makes sense to use amex as much as i can if the shops accept amex that is , seems its all good for the customer for once eh !
