Pasta, I kill houseplants. I just do. Outside stuff I am great with and cut flowers I can work with. Houseplants just wither and die under my care (or lack thereof). My neighbour is going to give me a spider plant though, since I reckon even I cant kill one of those.

I am a keen gardener, I even propagate orchids ( easier than you'd expect with the epiphyte ones). First husband bought a huge showy spider plant from a posh garden centre. Took me a few months , with help from a tabby cat who was convinced it was a new bed, but it died. They like humidity, And a lack of cat! If you are really rubbish with plants I recommend mother in laws tongue, there are quite a few varieties nowadays.
Last I counted, I had about 125 plants...including tiny cuttings being rooted.
When I retired and lockdown became a thing, plants saved me. There were times I felt ridiculous anger that there were people who had gardens to escape to. It felt unfair...so, I had to make my indoor jungle bigger. I periodically offload some to my daughter...so she can test her ability to keep them alive.
