I have 9 of the 16 themed answers. But can't figure out which letters to eliminate or replace by a letter
Also please help me solve these
1a Curmudgeon's rolled windbreak to cross cricket ground (11*)
9a End of line? Take especial note about traffic problem and link lines (6)
14a Lower classes having little time for fine examples of decor (11*)
Asterix means the words are hyphenated or there are multiple words

The 4 letters that clash for each answer take the form of a choice between letters (eg A OR B for one answer, and A OR C, for the other one). OR is always in both entries, and one of the 4 possible letters will be duplicated - in the eg given it's A, so A goes in the clash cell and B+C are ignored.

1a - (rudely) a curmudgeon is an O?? F??? (but the breaking-wind part is reversed - so it becomes O?? ???F). Then you need a word for 'to cross' (a river eg) giving a famous cricket ground.

...you shouldn't have an asterisk in 14a - it's one word, and it's only 9 letters.

Do you mean 14a which is only (9), or 26a which is (11*)
