Every year I buy my wife a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day, in an ironic way.
Every year she tells me she is disappointed there in no make weight chocolate in the very bottom of the box like there used to be.

This year I have bought her some hand made chocolates and requested a make weight chocolate be included. We shall both be disappointed if it's not there.

What siilly little thing do you miss from the 'good old days'?

What’s a make weight?
I liked Roses chocolates in the large tin , not the half size plastic one we have now
Smarties in the proper tube with a letter under the plastic lid. They used to taste much nicer to.
Mintola and Nestle Brazil nut chocolate
Riley's dark chocolate rolls.
I remember make weights, there often used to be a small flat tablet of chocolate added when the box was underweight

You've got it, ubasses, back in the days when the machines weren't so accurate as they are now.
You can still buy Roses in the large tin, Bobbi.

Were Mintola's like Munchies? I liked Munchies
Caramac
Question Author
Oh yes, the strangely flavoured but addictive Caramac, still available but probably doesn't taste the same. I liked Tunnocks Caramel, too
