I have 3 links of thick sausage to fry, so how many tealight candles would you think I need under the pan, to generate enough heat to cook them. Each candle will burn for between 3/4 hours, but one candle wouldn't generate the heat? Trying to save on energy.

Fork Handles :-)

Not an answer, bit it will bump you back to the top of the list
4, 4 candles.
I hope you are joking because no amount of candles will generate enough heat to cook them but will be warm enough to encourage harmful bacteria.
I hope you have a good stock of loo paper
must be a joke as candles will cost more than grilling or frying... and sausage would take ages to cook and may be raw inside. You could microwave first and then brown off on hob with gas/electric

My sausage is now cooked. Its taken 3 days, my bread is now a little dry. :0>
And your sausage is wrinkled and flaccid.

I used 15 candles @ 4p each, so it cost 60p in total to cook them. Sleeping was a bit of a problem though with candles burning. Now wondering if it was worth the savings on energy? Or was there any savings at all.
It's so romantic eating by candle light though.
