Do many other ABers agree, or do they regard stirring as a beautiful achievement?

you can add kale or spinach for that extra touch of altruistic decadence.....
I shall make it in my soupmaker and throw in whatever I have in the fridge.
DTC, your mention of a Mouli makes me wonder what happened to mine from about 50 years ago, it must almost predate Lakeland. I used to love going up to Lakeland Plastics, as it was originally, they had a lovely cafe!
We have strayed from the OP but I don't suppose it matters much.
I know it sounds soppy but I do try to do something nice for someone every day. Even something as simple as having a chat and a laugh with an elderly person wandering around Sainsbury's. I'm a bit of a chatterbox. :-)
zebo, we grew up with Lakeland family kids in Windermere and Bowness, their business centred on Windemere railway station at the time before moving to Kendal, near the Westmorland showground and the rugby club..... Mine, I bought in France, and have had it for 30 years or so - brilliant for extracting the juices out of a 'mush' - highly technical cooking term there - and a great back-up to a sieve....
why not, Tilly, - you add to local society as minty does with her Thursday shops for her elderly neighbours.
It must be the night for cauliflower. I'm about to have my second portion of cauliflower cheese and bacon...made with crispy pancetta with a bit of harissa paste and umami paste *stirred* through the cauliflower.
I assume one has to know about some other thread to know what this is all about (I don't) ?? Theoretically if you get any kind of pleasure or feeling of satisfaction from helping others that's not being altruistic is it?

Well Lakeland (former Lakeland Plastics) are in back Windermere again now by the station in a lovely new glass building with a cafe/resteraunt overlooking Windermere Station as my wife and i stopped there a couple a years ago on our way to a Lake District break - happy memories. Must go again

Tilly; re "stirring"

I read a nice sentiment from an ABer and thought "I wish more people here posted like that instead of trying to wind up people with provocative language."

So I retaliated a bit in a gentle (so I thought) way. Anyway thank goodness the thread hasn't gone rude.
