Gathering And Sharing Family Photos
10 Answers
My extended family have been talking about finding some online photo site, that we could all have access to & share all our photos etc.
Does anyone know of one specifically for that purpose?
Or one that's simple to use, as some of them are older & not very up on computers, so something they might be able to at least look at them on.
I suggested Facebook, but a few didn't want to use that, so something more aimed at that would be better I think.
Needs to be free.
Any ideas?
(is there a better category i should put this in?)
Thanks :)

You register with an email address and create a password, so one person will have to create the account and then give the password to anyone else they wish to be able add photos. You simple login in and then upload from your computer. You can also allow read-only access to particular photos/sets of photos that you might want people not in your family to be able to see or copy.

thanks all,
i think maybe a gallery kind of page would be better -
I've had trouble with dropbox deleting pics, downloading stuff i don't want downloading etc - and I'm computer savvy, so I think family would struggle with that.
plus, it means you can use it for anything else.
I think it'd be confusing.

Flickr.
There is a free option, or you can pay for it.
Uploading photos is easy - it gives a drag and drop option.
You can then organise photos into albums, and view all photos in your photostream.
You can set it so that photos can or can’t be downloaded by joe public. You can also make photos visible to certain people.
You could all have one username thus anybody could upload to one location.
