Not So Hot Mail
7 Answers
I had a look in 'Technology' and the tumbleweeds suggest that Chatterbank will get a wider audience.
While using Outlook the other day I did something, I know not what, that made the size of the message text shrink to an almost unreadable size.
The list of emails is normal but whenever one is selected and opened the print is minute.
Any messages from before 'the incident' are still normal size.
Any ideas how to get everything back on track?
Thanks.

Increasing the size of what I was reading using this method has previously only worked for that one item, now it's all of them so I think I'll settle for that.
Again, thank you.

Click in the reading/script pane. Press Ctrl key bottom left on the keyboard. The zoom slider will appear. If you use the slider it will adjust the script of the mail you are reading. If you want to alter all your mail ""click the % icon that is on the slider graphic"" .
Another check box will appear that allows you to set % zoom. You will probably have 100% 200% or 75%. You can try 100% but if you want the text a tad bigger you can also set the zoom to say 125% by using the individual arrow up or down control. You can also do the same for any mail that you send, reply to or forward by doing the same in the text pane when you have chosen are composing a new email. You use the zoom options + sign(in a little circle) on the right hand side of the mail tool bar.

Had another look at this Douglas. There are so many "different" combinations of operating system and browser controls that one method may not work on some systems. You could try this one. Open your mail(you don't need to open and individual message).
1. Click on the cogwheel/gear top right.
2. In the dropdown box is a line that says "View All Outlook Settings"
...Click on this text(possibly in blue).
3. In the new pop out box choose Email(in the left hand list) and .....layout in the subsequent choices list.
4. You will now see a list which includes Text Sizing and Spacing. ....Check the large option.
If you are using a laptop you are perhaps brushing the mouse pad as you are typing. It can cause all sorts of random problems.

Another way. If you are using your email from the taskbar(along the bottom) then the cogwheel may be bottom left in the blue side bar. Again click the cogwheel/gear. A panel opens headed Settings. Scroll down to Default Font and click. In there is another little settings menu. Choose the account type in your case you are saying Hotmail. (If you have multi accounts you can choose apply to all accounts and check the box.) You will see another little control strip below this which give options for type style(i.e. Calibri) next to this is a little window with numbers that drop down when you check the down arrow "v". There is also some text that changes size as you change the number. Bigger number = bigger text. Pick the one that suits. 12 is about right for me.
