We have a modern tan leather chair with matching footstool. The footstool has faded and seems a bit dried out, on the top, the sides are fine, as is the chair. I guess it’s been rubbed and worn by our feet resting on it.
What can we use to feed the leather, we don’t want any sort of coloured wax, etc, just something to nourish it which would maybe perk the original colour up.
I wish I could ring the leather lady who’s on The Repair Shop, I’m sure she’d know.

Saddle soap
You can get impregnated cloths from supermarkets/Lakeland etc that claim to feed leather. We use them on our car seats and they seem fine.
Saddle soap
How old is it?
Question Author
I looked into using saddle soap as it was my first thought but apparently you’re not supposed to use it on furniture due to what it’s made of, and it’s primarily a cleaner.
I have those wipes but they don’t do anything on this footstool.
It’s a very soft, almost kid leather.
Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Maybe about six years old ummmm. Why do you ask?
When I purchased a Stressless leather suite they added a leather cleaner from this firm that I found very good.

You could try dubbin wax (as used on leather hiking boots).
the Repair shop leather lady gets her stuff from here. More expensive but I have never had a duff product. https://www.preservationequipment.com
If the store you bought it from is still open I'd ask their advice.

I've recently bought a soft leather sofa and it came with a list of dos and don'ts.
Another option, if you can find one open, is a car showroom. When I bought my Volvo I was able to buy a kit from them to clean and feed the seats.

Thanks for the many useful suggestions.
I think there’s a manufacturers label under the chair, which is very heavy and awkward to move, so will upend it later and phone them to see if they can help, if they’re open.
Many thanks.

I suggest using a leather conditioner to nourish and restore your leather chair and footstool. Conditioners are designed specifically to feed the leather, while also protecting it from dirt, dust, and other environmental elements. Look for conditioners that are free of dyes or waxes, so they won't discolor or damage the leather. You can find a wide selection of such conditioners online or in specialty stores.
