I have an archaic word at 29d regarding drink which crosses with an eye condition for 33a. I think I have lost the plot :-(

It depends on which part of the eye is inflamed - conjuntiva, conjunctivitis; retina, retinitis; the optic nerve, neuritis. Think of another part of the eye and its 'itis'
