Dear AnswerBank Community,

Wow. £187.24 this month so far! Your generosity since my comments last night have been a promising start, and we are truly grateful.

In total, there are tens of thousands of users who rely on The AnswerBank every month. If even a small portion of these users gave a few pounds regularly, it would help us maintain and improve the platform.

As mentioned, how much we are making through Donations is transparent and they can be made anonymously as far as other users are concerned.

You can keep up to date with where we are with Donations in this thread: https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Editors-Blog/Question1808295.html

The thread also explains why we are seeking donations and if the current level of donations continues we will be able to release some more information about improvements we are planning to make, that to date have not been possible.

Once again, thank you for your support, and with your contributions, we can ensure The AnswerBank remains a valuable resource for everyone.

I think Prudie is correct, Zacs. :-)

It has quite rightly been removed.
I think it was in CB and it lasted about a minute.
Thank you Gness :-)
Ah, ok. Ta.
Meanwhile, back at the donations, it is now £266.04!
To end the confusion, it was me that deleted gulliver1's thread. Faced with a thread which consisted almost entirely of tit for tat name calling and added little to any debate, it seemed the most sensible option. If mods had the full editorial toolkit then I could have closed the thread, bulk-deleted all the offending posts and then reopened the thread, but as it was I'd have had to delete all the offending posts one at a time which is a tedious job and then I'm fairly sure the parties involved would just have started the row again anyway. I think the thread might also sit better in another category, but that is an Editorial decision.
Didn't know Anothermod could remove a post made by Anothermod? The first post, that was on gullivers thread was posted by a mod??? So why was a mods post removed?
17 45, Ask Naomi.
This is a ridiculous example of what's wrong with this site. The AB Editor posts to thank people for their donations and it descends into an argument about removed posts.
This thread is about donations and not about deleted posts and who deleted them.

Any danger of folk sticking to the subject?
Christ!! You people don't know when to shut up!!!! All was explained in the beginning of this thread but no you still gotta go & on.
Vulcan 19.24 . Oh Dear..... Better than watching repeats on Tv though Ain't it .
.....Have a nice evening.....
It wasnt explained that the first post on gullivers post was by a mod, who started the trouble thou was it.
Who care??!!
