That report fails to mention how many people have been treated successfully in Turkey.
As a comparison there were 29 deaths in hospital after surgery and 32 within 30 days of discharge in the UK between 2009 and 2016. This is a very low rate from a total of 41,241 operations. This is major surgery and any type of major surgery is dangerous for obese people who are usually very unfit.

I considered weight loss surgery but truthfully didn't have the bottle to go through with it.

No way could I imagine going abroad for weight loss surgery. But then again, I have never been desperate about my weight. Who knows how troubled those people are. I won't be watching the programme. I cant watch operations of any sort.

I have a friend who can't get her hernia repair unless she loses 5st in weight because of the danger.
