Can’t Find The Mouse!!
14 Answers
Came down early hours to get a glass of water and found a live mouse racing round my lounge, with my 2 cats chasing it. Shut lounge door to stop it coming upstairs. Have come back down and no sight of it! God knows where it’s gone!!

I'd put a trap out for it and exclude the cats. The cats will just chase it back into its hiding place. It'll come out for tasty food in a trap (chocolate or peanut butter tends to work quite well). You can also get humane traps so it doesn't get hurt.
If it is still alive, you need to act since they can do a huge amount of damage.

The following morning, Mrs gumboot came down and was unable to find any trace of the mouse. Later on that day, one of the kids found the mouse's tail in the corner of the room.
A vet told me a few weeks later that some cats are reluctant to eat the tails of rodents, so keep looking....
