...I go to rugby and you can see shirts going back to the 60s! My local team even changed colours a few years ago and most of us still turn up in the old colours! Don't moan about the rip off just don't buy.

I now have about 7 on hangers in the wardrobe, 1 on my 'Burnley' wall and 1 currently hanging on the back of my bedroom door. That's the only one i wear and it's from about 10/11 seasons back.
You can scour the crowds at football matches and you will see that there are many wearing shirts from seasons past.

Reading the article I'm no surprised they're miffed off! £90 for a rag cloth.. I wouldn't even clean out my gutters with that even if it were 50p.
Home and away shirts have been about since football began... the third kit I think about when the 'Premiership' came into existence 92/93. You can even get training kits now.
I have to say the last replica shirt I bought was a Man United home about twenty years ago.
And as Ken says you can see many old shirts at grounds even if just on the TV.
