This is proving divisive on the 'socials' as Daisy would say, not just between the sexes (genders?) but between the generations, too.

Women of all ages are more likely to agree that Amy was raped; the older generation disagree whatever their gender (sex?).

What's your view? I agree there was sex without consent which amounts to rape - but doesn't there have to be criminal intent? It is true he intended to have sex with Amy but did he intend to rape her? Is that even a legal argument in cases of rape?

Tracey murders Aaron and Summer gets the blame as the spurned girlfriend. Tracey doesn't own up but Steve knows the truth and dobs her in.
Amy takes her mother's side and refuses to have any more to do with Steve.
Steve eventually starts a relationship with Eileen and Amy goes to uni.

Yes, turns out there are a lot of footballers involved in rape trials ... but the Ched Evans one was specifically about the drunkenness.

I've just refreshed my memory about the Ched Evans case. Rape or not, he and his friends are certainly not gentlemen

Turns out on appeal that he was not raped, because (in a nutshell) "slappers" can't be raped! You have to wonder why she even bothered pressing charges ...
