This was invented by Bettie Nesmith, the mother of Micheal Nesmith, who was one of the TV group the Monkees.

I always found Liquid Paper to be superior to Tippex.
10ClarionSt - where did you get your information about Betty Naismith? Betty Nesmith Graham, as
vehelpfulguy mentions in his reply, invented it in 1951 to cover up her mistakes as a typist.
