//Max Bygraves: Tulips From Hamsterdam//
Reminds me: a bloke was playing snooker at his local club and was being given a right hammering by his mate: “I don’t know how you do it. I used to be able to give you a good game, but lately I can’t even get close.”
“It’s down to a new tip on my cue. Got it off some bloke in the pub who had loads of them. Apparently they’re made in the usual way, but then they are soaked for a week in a special jam. He told me the jam is made from powdered hamster bones.”
“Good grief – that sounds horrible. But I’ll put up with it if it improves my game. Can you get me one?”
“No can do. He only gets a consignment once a year, usually around April time. Anyway he’ll definitely be back because as he left he sang “When it’s Spring again, I’ll bring again, cue tips in hamster jam.”
I’ll get me coat. :-)
