He was unique, a one off and I know I'll never see his like again. I feel sorry for all the abused and unwanted dogs entering Battersea in the future who will never know his gentle loving voice or his tender touch when they need it the most. What a loss. I hope with all my heart that there is a fitting tribute to him at Battersea in time. I know it will be bittersweet, but I am looking forward to his final series. RIP Paul, a true gent. Wish I had met you.
Old Geezer. Paul was far more than a celebrity for many of us. He was a wonderful person in all respects. To be honest, I'm no lover of the word celebrity. Its used too often. I genuinely felt very upset about Paul. If angels existed he would be one. I didn't realise until I watched the program how involved he was in social work in his younger life.
