Nextdoor Moderation

I am a mod on my local Nextdoor group and would appreciate a chat with anyone else who is in the same position (not necessarily in my local group!) I think it is a bizarre way to moderate

To deactivate your membership click on your icon, click the settings cog, then account settings.
Scroll to the bottom, click deactivate account

Barsel, I’ve tried that but I think groups from surrounding areas are joining in. It’s driving me nuts. So many emails!

I've been on it for about 4 years or more. I only post very rarely and have never and would never give my phone number. I wonder what I'm missing that others wouldn't touch with a bargepole. Maybe I'm just lucky with my area.

I`ve been on it since it was called Streetlife. I preferred it then. Never had a problem with it though. I don't use my real name and if I 'like' or reply to something, I turn off the notifications

I'm the same as Prudie, been on a few years, rarely use it but have found it useful occasionally. Can't remember being asked for my phone number though.

I don't know if they have changed it for new members but I know I've never given my phone number, I wouldn't have joined if it was needed. I'm ex-directory and want to stay that way. Emails used to be a huge problem until I went on and managed them, now I only get one a day if anything new and only in my small specified area.
